Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's popularly known, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who was the leader of the only female hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. While the group did not make much progress in America but they enjoyed huge popularity overseas. This was especially true in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the band breakup. She began voice lessons, and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Re-emerging with releases of "Black" from 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years after. In 2016, she released her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
